The standoff between the Tamil Nadu Film Producer’s Council and the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has resulted in the latter going in for an indefinite strike from today (1/8/2017). Many films that are currently shooting have been affected as the crew members have stopped working.
The shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ that was happening on the outskirts of Chennai has been stopped and similarly Vijay ‘s ‘Mersal’ for which Atlee was canning patch work shots has also been cancelled. R.K. Selvamani has called for an urgent meeting and hundreds of FEFSI members have gathered at their offices on Vadapalani and the outcome will be known in a few hours.
