Superstar's '2.0' goes 3D, set for huge China release

A promotional event of '2.0' was today held in Hyderabad. The event was attended by Lyca Productions's Creative Head Raju Mahalingam, ace producer D Suresh Babu, Sharath Marar, Bharath, Sathyam and Pritham, among others.
Speaking there, Raju Mahalingam said, "It is known that '2.0' is being made as India's costliest film. Not only in India are we planning a huge release, but also throughout the world. We are making this film in 3D too along with 2D version. Though it involves more risk and a vast amount of work, we want to give an immense 3D experience to the audience."
It will be a huge release in China. "We are planning to release the film in 15,000 to 16,000 theatres in China alone," the producer added.
If Rajinikanth is a robotic hero, Amy Jackson will be seen as the female lead, while Akshay Kumar will be seen as the main antagonist. Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shaajan, Riyaaz Khan will be seen in other important roles.
Music is by AR Rahman. The cinematography is by Nirav Shah. Editing is by Antony. The story and screenplay are by director Shankar himself.
The magnum opus will be released on Jan 25, 2018.
