Super Star Rajinikanth to show power as Coolie in Hyderabad

India’s film industry is buzzing with excitement as Superstar Rajinikanth begins the shoot of his newest film, “Coolie”, under the direction of acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The project, produced by Sun Pictures, marks a significant milestone in the careers of both the legendary actor and the director, who has gained a cult following for his previous blockbusters.

On July 5, Sun Pictures shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Rajinikanth in character, captioning the post with, “Superstar-Loki Sambhavam begins! #Coolie shooting starts today.” The first phase of filming has commenced in Hyderabad, with plans to relocate to various other locations following the initial schedule.

Actress Shruti Haasan, who announced her involvement in the film via an Instagram post captioned, “DAY 1 #Coolie,” will be sharing the screen with Rajinikanth for the first time. This collaboration promises a fresh dynamic that fans are eagerly anticipating.

Renowned actor Sathyaraj, who previously co-starred with Rajinikanth in “Baahubali,” will play his friend in “Coolie.” Although the official announcement from the production team is yet to come, Sathyaraj’s inclusion was confirmed inadvertently.

The technical crew is equally impressive, featuring composer Anirudh Ravichander, known for his hit soundtracks; cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, who has worked on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous successes; and stunt choreographers Anbariv (Anbu and Arivu), ensuring a visual spectacle.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, celebrated for his films “Master” and “Vikram”, has already shared a mirror selfie with Rajinikanth from their look test, signaling the start of production in July. With his track record of creating cinematic masterpieces, expectations are high for “Coolie”.

“Coolie” is poised to be a remarkable addition to the catalogue of both Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj, with the backing of Sun Pictures and a brilliant cast and crew. The film’s production is a testament to the enduring appeal of Indian cinema and the talent that drives its success.
