The visually stunning poster hints at the film’s epic scale, promising a cinematic blend of fantasy, adventure, and ancient folklore.

Planned as a multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, Karikaala draws inspiration from the magical world of classic Chandamama folklore. The film is set to transport audiences into a universe filled with forgotten kingdoms, mystical powers, lions, wolves, and legendary tales, recreating the wonder of timeless fantasy stories on a grand pan-India scale.

The project also marks one of the biggest transformations in Sundeep Kishan’s career. The actor undergoes a complete makeover to portray a powerful warrior, presenting himself in an avatar unlike anything audiences have seen before. His intense new look has already generated excitement among fans.

Adding to the buzz, the makers announced that Karikaala will be released as a two-chapter cinematic saga. Chapter 1 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 2, 2027, while Chapter 2 is set to hit screens on October 28, 2027. The two-part release strategy reflects the ambitious scale and expansive storytelling envisioned by the team.

After the success of Shambhala, director Ugandhar Muni and the Shining Pictures banner are mounting Karikaala on an even grander canvas. With extensive world-building, high-end visual effects, elaborate production design, and immersive storytelling, the film aims to deliver a one-of-a-kind socio-fantasy experience for audiences across India.

The film’s technical crew features Sricharan Pakala, who will compose the music. The makers are expected to announce the remaining cast, technical team, and more details about the film’s expansive fantasy world in the coming months.

With its powerful title, breathtaking first look, and ambitious two-part release plan, Karikaala has already emerged as one of the most anticipated pan-India fantasy spectacles currently in production.
