Producer and distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni, known for backing content-driven films, is now presenting an interesting children’s entertainer titled Summer Holidays under his banner, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainments. Directed by Srikar, the film revolves around a heartwarming story designed to take audiences on a nostalgic journey back to their childhood days.
Featuring Master Rohan, Master Arun and Baby Khushi in important roles, the film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on November 6. Ahead of its release, the young actors Rohan and Arun interacted with the media and shared their experiences of working on the film, their characters and their ambitions.
Master Arun: “Working With Jayasudha Garu Felt Like Being With My Grandmother”
Master Arun, who is currently studying in Class 8, revealed that his mother plays an important role in selecting his film projects. Speaking about his character R.V. in Summer Holidays, he said, “He is a calm and composed boy who does not have any major problems in life, but he is not particularly happy either. The story explores how his personality changes after meeting K.V. Audiences will get to witness that transformation.”
Sharing his experience of working with senior actress Jayasudha, Arun said it was a memorable opportunity. He revealed that she offered him valuable suggestions during the shoot and made him feel as though he was spending time with his own grandmother. He also expressed his interest in continuing his acting career if he receives good opportunities.
Arun credited his mother for his achievements, including the state and national awards he has received. He recalled how she stood by him during difficult phases of his acting journey, even travelling to Hyderabad for shooting schedules despite being unwell. He believes her sacrifices and constant encouragement played a major role in his success.
The young actor also spoke about balancing education and films. Due to his shooting commitments, attending school regularly during Class 8 became challenging. Recalling the shooting experience, he said the team had a wonderful time filming the school song. He also praised music composer Sinjith for delivering impressive music and revealed that Rohan features in the film’s crush song.
Master Rohan: “Education Is My First Priority”
Master Rohan, who is currently studying in Class 10, spoke about his approach to choosing films. He said his mother listens to every script along with him and makes the final decision. However, when he genuinely connects with a story, he makes sure to express his interest in being part of the project.
In Summer Holidays, Rohan plays K.V., an energetic boy who continues to smile despite facing several humiliations in life. He is deeply committed to his family and works hard, particularly for his mother. Rohan described the character as lively, entertaining and emotionally layered.
Speaking about his education, the young actor made it clear that studies remain his top priority. Although his family originally belongs to Chirala, they currently live in Hyderabad. He plans his shooting schedules carefully to avoid missing school and revealed that he generally scores between 80 and 90 per cent in examinations.
Rohan also discussed the variety of characters and regional dialects he has explored in his career. While he portrayed a Telangana-speaking character in the web series 90’s, he speaks the Godavari dialect in Summer Holidays. He expressed happiness about getting opportunities in projects such as 90’s, Pre-Wedding Show and Summer Holidays, which allowed him to explore different shades of acting.
Interestingly, Rohan revealed that he enjoys emotional sequences more than comedy. Although his comic performance in 90’s received considerable attention, Summer Holidays gave him an opportunity to balance humour with emotion. He particularly mentioned the emotional episodes in the interval and second half, expressing confidence that they would leave audiences deeply moved.
Rohan also acknowledged his mother’s constant support throughout the shooting schedule. He praised director Srikar for making the film with strong conviction and appreciated producer Dheeraj Mogilineni for his passion towards cinema.
With its nostalgic storyline, young performers and emotional family-oriented content, Summer Holidays is gearing up to offer audiences a refreshing cinematic experience when it arrives in theatres on November 6.
