Sudha Kongara to direct this young hero next? What about Suriya’s ‘Purananooru’?

Acclaimed director Sudha Kongara is currently busy with the final works of ‘Sarfira’, the Hindi remake of her National Award-winning film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. She reunited with Suriya for the biggie ‘Purananooru’. This was expected to be her next project but the team announced that the film would take some time to materialise.

Recent reports suggest that Sudha is in talks to direct a young hero now. The filmmaker has pitched an idea to Dhruv Vikram, who has yet to nod yes. No production house has been finalised for this project till now. GV Prakash is said to be the music composer. Notably, this will be the 100th film of GVP if this goes on the floor before Suriya’s ‘Purananooru’.

It remains unclear whether Sudha will start ‘Purananooru’ or Dhruv film first. ‘Sarfira’ features Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan in lead roles with Suriya in a cameo role. On the work front, Dhruv is starring as a Kabaddi player in his next under Mari Selvaraj’s direction and produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions.
