Sudha Kongara’s next film after ‘Soorarai Pottru’ star cast revealed

Sudha Konagara who made heads turn with her second film ‘Irudhi Suttru’ starring Madhavan and Ritika Singh has also raised expectations sky high for her upcoming ‘Soorarai Pottru’ starring Suriya in the lead role.  The film with music score by GVP is based on the life of a common man turned aviator and has the ensemble cast of Mohan Babu, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal and Aparna Balamurali.  The release is expected as soon as normalcy returns after the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile details have emerged from Sudha Kongara’s next movie which is a part of an anthology for Netflix with Gautham Menon, Vettrimaaran and Vignesh Shivan also as directors.  Honor killing is the common thread that connects all the four films with duration of half an hour each.

Sudha Kongara’s film has G.V. Prakash’s younger sister Bhavani Sre as the central character with Kalidas Jayaram as her lover and Shantanu Bhagyaraj playing the antagonist.  The entire story is set in Kodaikanal and the team has shot the entire movie there.

The films will stream under a common title on Netflix from September this year and the official announcement will be made soon.
