In May last week, Telugu cine lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja successfully underwent a liver transplant at a private hospital in Hyderabad.  It was his son Arjun who donated a part of his liver.

Earlier on Wednesday (July 8), a section of media started reporting that Ashok Teja's health has deteriorated once again and that he is critical.  Turns out that the news is fake.  Releasing a video message, the lyric writer said, "It has been reported that my health condition is critical.  It's not true.  I am completely healthy now.  After the surgery, I am doing alright.  I am now writing songs."

Ashok Teja thanked his friends, well-wishers and fans for wishing him well all through.  "Given the times we are living in, we have to be careful and extra cautious," he added.
