‘Sridevi Shoban Babu’ Teaser: Of small-town charm, fun, banter

‘Sridevi Shoban Babu’ stars Santosh Shoban in a comical role. The actor, going by the teaser, is once again milking his ability to look frivolous, as he did in ‘Ek Mini Katha’ and ‘Manchi Rojulochaie’ with charm. The former is an OTT hit.

Producers Vishnu Prasad and Sushmita Konidela have bankrolled this entertainer, whose small-town backdrop is welcoming. Writer-director Prasanth Kumar Dimmala seems to have made fun look pleasant and neat.

With music by Kamran, today’s teaser resorts to the old-world style of making a streetside announcement about the latest movie in the town. Naga Babu and Rohini have played elderly roles.

Featuring Gouri G Kishan (remember the ‘Jaanu’ girl who later did the Tamil movies ‘Master’ and ‘Karnan’?) as the heroine, the film has authentic visuals by cinematographer Siddarth Ramaswamy. Edited by Shashidhar Reddy, its Art Direction is by Dattatreya.
