Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had been admitted to the MGM hospital on August 5 after testing positive for Coronavirus and his condition deteriorated after August 13, and turned critical. However, from last week, his health condition has been improving.

From turning to stable condition, SPB has now started making gestures and writing to communicate, and the MGM hospital has also given another positive update yesterday. As pse the latest hospital statement, "S P Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted due to COVID-19 at MGM Healthcare continues to be on Ventilator and ECM() support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His current clinical condition is stable. He is fully awake, responsive and actively participates in physiotherapy. He continues to be closely monitored by our multidisciplinary clinical team. SPB has been recovering steadily and is being given physiotherapy treatment and is responding well to that. Recently he started writing to communicate with the doctors, family and also fans. He wrote a small thank you note to his fans “Love you all", which went viral on internet.
