Former India cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly today reportedly suffered a heart attack. He has since been rushed to a hospital. A national daily reported that Angioplasty will be conducted on the BCCI president.
The legendary sportsman has been admitted to the Woodland Hospital in West Bengal's Kolkata. After performing preliminary tests, the doctors at the hospital are reported to have said that Angioplasty must be performed by Saturday evening.
Only two days earlier, Ganguly was spotted at Eden Gardens to oversee the activities related to a cricket trophy.
Ganguly has been in the news over reports that he would be joining the BJP anytime. West Bengal's Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Summer. There is this speculation that Ganguly may well be made the CM candidate by the saffron party. But the speculation is far-fetched. Ganguly might well be a major leader but it's unlikely that he will be projected as a CM candidate.
