As per reports, a consensus has been reached between the state units of BCCI and former India captain and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Sourav Ganguly is most likely to take the new, powerful role of BCCI president. Sourav Ganguly is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal and with his experience is expected to revive Indian cricket.
Earlier he had been the chairman of the BCCI technical committee and had also been a sports commentator.When new office bearers take charge, it will bring an end to the 33-month term of the Committee of Administrators who had been administering cricket in the country after Lodha Committee reforms.
