Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Emotional Revelation: “I Directed My Father’s Interview Scene in Padayappa, and it was…!”

Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, recently shared an emotional account of her professional and heartfelt experiences working with her father during a recent interview. In particular, her revelation about her involvement behind the scenes of a famous sequence from Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film ‘Padayappa’ has surprised many.

In ‘Padayappa’, there is a significant scene where Rajinikanth sits in his garden and speaks to an interviewer about his life and philosophies. This scene remains a favorite among Rajini fans. Soundarya proudly stated that she played a crucial role in directing that specific sequence.

“I was with my father during the ‘Padayappa’ shoot. While they were filming that scene, I went up close and offered some suggestions, saying, ‘Appa, if you sit and talk like this, it will be even better. If you speak from this angle, it will be more emotional.’ My father and director K.S. Ravikumar Sir listened to my input and filmed the interview scene accordingly. Even after so many years, whenever I watch that scene, the thought, ‘I directed my father’s interview scene, and it was!’ brings me immense joy and emotion,” Soundarya Rajinikanth expressed tearfully.

She further mentioned that Rajinikanth always appreciates and encourages the creative endeavors of his children, Dhanush and Soundarya. When Soundarya first worked in the animation industry, Rajini was very proud of his daughter’s work. Even when she took on the role of a director, Rajinikanth has been a staunch supporter at every stage.
