Not Mrunal Thakur but this sensational actress to romance Sivakarthikeyan in ‘SK23’?

The expectations for Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘SK21’ increased multifold when the actor’s body transformation video came out. He is playing a soldier in the biopic war drama directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Meanwhile, he is all set to join director AR Murugadoss for ‘SK23’ after ‘SK21’.

As per the reports, the film’s shooting will commence today. Earlier, it was said that popular actress Mrunal Thakur is in talks for the female lead role. She was expected to make her Tamil debut with ‘SK23’. However, sources tell us that actress Rukmini Vasanth will be the leading lady in the movie. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.

Rukmini became an internet sensation after the recent Kannada love saga ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’. Notably, she will be making her Tamil debut opposite Vijay Sethupathi in ‘VJS 51’, directed by Arumugakumar. ‘SK23’ is said to be her second Tamil project. Mohanlal and Vidyut Jammwal are also approached by the makers for pivotal roles in ‘SK23’.
