Sivakarthikeyan is one of the busiest actors in the Tamil film industry. Recently, it was officially announced that the star hero will team up with Telugu director Anudeep of the superhit spoof drama ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ fame for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual project tentatively named ‘SK20’. This venture will mark SK’s entry into Tollywood with music scored by SS Thaman.
Now, sources say that the upcoming film will begin its shooting from this week in Chennai. The shooting of ‘SK20’ was originally slated to kickstart post Pongal but faced delay as music director Thaman got infected with COVID-19. The latest is that the makers have planned to start the shooting this week that will begin rolling with a muhurat puja.
The official update regarding the complete cast and crew is expected to be made real soon. The yet-to-be-titled project will reportedly have two female leads including a foreign model. Ritu Varma is said to be essaying the other female lead role. Sivakarthikeyan will be seen as a tourist guide based on Pondicherry in ‘SK20’.
Sathyaraj and Premgi Amaren are said to have landed pivotal roles in ‘SK20’ bankrolled by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, Suresh Cinemas and Shanthi Talkies. On the work front, Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Don’ is awaiting release while the post-production of his long-awaited ‘Ayalaan’ is in full swing. The actor is also acting in Rajkumar Periyasamy’s direction in ‘SK21’ under Kamal Haasan and Sony Pictures India’s production.
