Director Lingusamy has delivered some of the biggest commercial hit films in Tamil in the new millennium such as 'Anandham', 'Run', 'Paiyaa' and 'Sandakozhi'. It is common knowledge that the veteran is returning to direction with the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film 'The Warriorr' after a hiatus.

'The Warriorr' stars Tollywood stars Ram Pothinenii, Krithi Shetty and Aadhi Pinnisetty in the lead roles. Sivakarthikeyan launched the trailer of the film on Friday. The 2.5-minute-long video shows Ram as Satya, DSP and Aadhi as Guru, a gangster who locks horns with him. The movie set in Madurai is inspired by true events.

The promo is filled with cute romance portions, high-octane action episodes and spot-on punch dialogues packed in racy cuts. The film will revolve around the cat and mouse game between the hero and the villain. The trailer ends with a glimpse of the ultimate showdown between them. Akshara Gowda and Nadhiya play supporting roles in 'The Warriorr'.

'The Warrior' is all set to hit the silver screens worldwide on July 14. Srinivasa Silverscreen and Pavan Kumar have jointly produced the movie with music by Devi Sri Prasad, Sujith Vasudev handling the camera and Anbariv taking care of the exhilarating stunt sequences.
