Simbu starrer ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ gets an OTT release date!

The superhit combo Simbu, Gautham Menon, and AR Rahman teamed up again for ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ which hit the screens on September 15. The film turned out to be a huge hit and the makers declared the film a profitable venture as it grossed double its budget. 

The latest hot update is that ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from October 13. The streaming giant announced the same through a social media post today. VTK is part one of a planned duology and the makers will start shooting for the sequel next year. It is about the youngster Muthu who comes to Mumbai in search of a profession and ends up as a kingpin in the underworld. 

It is worth mentioning that the film’s producer Ishari Ganesh had earlier gifted Simbu a brand new Toyota Vellfire and a high-end Royal Enfield Bullet for director Gautham Vasudev Menon as he was super happy with the response for ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. The ‘Mallipoo’ song composed by AR Rahman in the film has been a huge hit.
