Top commercial director signs Simbu in place of Vijay and Ajith?

Simbu post the blockbuster hit of Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Maanaadu’ is back in full form and his outstanding performance in the recently released ‘Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu’ also wowed audiences.  He has wrapped up the talkie portions of his next ‘Pathu Thala’ directed by Obelin N Krishna and produced by Studio Green in which Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar costar.

We have reported to you the breaking news that Simbu is all set to star in a new movie directed by Sudha Kongara for  Hombale Films  in which Keerthy Suresh is in talks to play the female lead.

Now the hot buzz in Kollywood is that top commercial director A.R. Murugadoss has narrated a storyline to Simbu a few months back and recently met him for further talks.  It is said that the mass hero liked the screenplay and has given his nod.  Sources say that the core story was earlier narrated both to Vijay and Ajith but they could not do it.  Now changes have been made to suit Simbu’s image.

Other sources say that it is a completely new script that ARM has developed for Simbu.  The project is expected to be backed by a leading production house and will go on floors in the second half of 2023.  Stay tuned for the official update.
