Simbu, director Gautham Menon and AR Rahman combo’s ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ is all set for a grand theatrical release on September 15 (Thursday). The much-awaited movie is produced by Vels Films International and distributed by Red Giant Movies.
The film’s song and trailer garnered a massive response from the audience. Now, the latest is that ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ has cleared the censor process and the CBFC has certified U/A. Touted to be a rustic gangster drama, VTK will have a sequel. Sources say that the film’s runtime is 2 hours and 53 minutes.
Simbu will be seen as ‘Muthu’, a character ranging from a 19-year-old youth to a 40-year-old middle-aged man, in this film. He underwent a drastic transformation and lost around 15 kgs for the 19-year-old look. Siddhi Idnani is paired opposite Simbu in VTK while Radhika Sarathkumar plays his mother and Neeraj Madhav portrays a negative role.
