After suffering from a kidney problem in 2022, he has recently lost the function of one arm and one leg. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Vijayawada.

Vengal Rao recently appealed for financial assistance from cinema stars in a video from the hospital. Now, he has received support from actor Simbu. STR has contributed 2 lakhs towards Vengal Rao’s treatment, becoming the first Tamil actor to offer assistance since Vengal Rao’s appeal. This news is taking the internet by storm currently.

Vengal Rao began his career as a stuntman and worked as a stunt double for superstars like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra. After a stunt accident, he transitioned to acting. His collaboration with Vadivelu in over 30 films endeared him to audiences. He recently appeared in Vadivelu’s comeback film “Naai Sekar Returns” in 2022.
