Is Simbu playing dual roles in ‘Maanaadu’?

The shooting of ‘Maanaadu’ directed by Venkat Prabhu is going on in full swing in Pondicherry and the entire team is raving about how cooperative Simbu is on the sets and it is said that the film will wrap up by the end of this year itself.

The first look poster of ‘Maanaadu’ was released on 21st November at 10.44 am and fans of Simbu were treated to a mass look of the star in his Abdul Khalique get up with a bullet wound on his head.  Later came the second look in which STR is seen wearing a coat and holding a gun with multiple replicas of himself all around him.

Speculations started that Simbu is playing dual roles in ‘Maanaadu’ judging by the two posters but producer Suresh Kamachi has nipped it in the bud clarifying that the hero has only one role in the film but it will be mass overloaded.  He has further added that the film will be on par with Venkat Prabhu’s biggest hit of his career ‘Mankatha’ starring Thala Ajith and Trisha in the lead roles.

‘Maanaadu’ has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and boasts of the starcast of Simbu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, S.A. Chandrasekhar, S.J. Suryah, Karunakaran, Monoj K Bharathi and Premgi Amaran.
