Silambarasan’s Corona Kumar to be dropped? Here is what we know

Silambarasan who is currently busy with his upcoming film ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ was expected to start shooting for Corona Kumar which will also be produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the Vels Film International banner. But it looks like things have taken a U-turn and reports suggest that there are high chances for the film to be dropped.

Silambarasan made a huge comeback with the blockbuster hit ‘Maanaadu’ that brought him back to the league.  Earlier Silambarasan signed an agreement to work in three films under Vels Film International for a remuneration of  25 Crores.   Rumours cropped up that after the success of ‘Maanaadu’, Simbu raised his salary to rupees thirty crores and demanded the same  for each of the three films

However when we got in touch with Cinemawala K. Sathish who is associated with ‘Corona Kumar’ he clarified that there are only five days of shooting left for ‘VTK’ after which Simbu will move on to ‘Pathu Thala’.  Once these two films are completed Simbu is committed to start ‘Corona Kumar’ and the quirky entertainer will definitely happen.  Well that’s good news for fans as they will get to see Simbu in an out and out comedy film for the first time.

Simbu is now the new host of Bigg Boss. He replaced Kamal Haasan after the latter quit the show to complete his much-delayed project Vikram starring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahad Faasil, and many more.
