The standoff between the Tamil film producers and the digital service producers has culminated in a strike. Shootings have been put a halt to, with the cinema industry coming to a standstill as a sign of protest. However, special permission to some film crews for shooting did not impress one and all.
Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Vijay 62’, ‘Nadodigal 2’, ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal’ and another yet-to-be-titled venture from 18th Cross Pictures are continuing to shoot with special permissions. Actor Siddharth took to his social page to express his discontent.
"Every single film is an equal challenge in today's brutal cinema marketplace. If these special permissions to shoot are given to one, please give them to all producers. We are all the same. In the absence of equality and unity, god save us,” he said.
