Happy Birthday Shruthi Haasan

Today is the birthday of young actress, singer and musician Shruthi Haasan.

Shruthi is the elder daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika. She has carved a niche for herself in Kollywood, Tollywood and Bollywood as an actress and singer with sheer talent and hard work.

Shruthi entered film-dome playing an unnoticed comeo role in her father's period film 'Hey Ram'. The first film she acted as heroine was the Hindi film 'Luck' that released in 2008. In 2009 she scored music for 'Unnaipol Oruvan' and had started crooning songs in main stream film. Director A.R.Murugadoss took the credit of launching this talented actress as a heroine in Tamil with his 'Ezham Arivu' which was also released in Telugu. Her first direct Telugu film was 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' with Siddharth.

Though none of these films achieved huge success in the box office they were helpful in giving foot hold for Shruthi, as a heroine in all the three big film industries and now she is the most wanted and busiest heroine in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films.

Especially the year 2015 has been great for the young actress as she paired up with three superstars Vijay, Ajith and Mahesh Babu.via 'Puli', 'Vedalam' and 'Srimanthudu'. In 2016 she has again paired up with Suriya in 'S3' directed by Hari.

Shruti is as popular as a singer as she is an actress. She has crooned songs composed by Ilaiyaraja, A.R.Rahman, Anirudh, Harris Jayaraj, D.Imman,G.V.Prakash, Devi Sri Prasad, Thaman, Vishal Bharadwaj and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and most of them were super hits.
