Sivaji Ganesan was considered one of the best method actors and an iconic figure in Tamil cinema. In his career spanning five decades, he acted in over 288 films in multiple languages. As today marks his 93rd birth anniversary many actors took to their social media account and paid tribute to this legendary actor.
Kamal Haasan, who considers Sivaji Ganesan as one of his mentors, took to social media to pay tribute to him with an emotional note. He also shared a throwback picture of them together and wrote in Tamil which translates to "He saw the pinnacle of performing arts. He became the golden age of cinema. He still lives in the hearts of the people. Sivaji Ganesan has been an actor for ages. My prayers on his birthday."
Sivaji Ganesan is celebrated as the Marlon Brando of South India. Having won several awards, Sivaji is considered a legend in the Indian film industry. His grandson actor Vikram Prabhu also shared the screenshots of the Google doodle on his Twitter and wrote, "Here is the #Googledoodle honouring the Legend #SivajiGanesan on his 93rd birthday. Appreciate the people from Google India & their guest artist Noopur Rajesh Choksi for the doodle art. Another proud moment! Love him and miss him more every year!"
Kamal Haasan is currently shooting or his upcoming film 'Vikram' with Vijay Sethupathi and Malayalam star Fahad Faasil in prominent roles. The film also has Kalidas Jayaram who will play the son of Kamal Haasan, Myna Nandhini, VJ Maheshwari and Shivani in supporting roles. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International.
