Malayalam Actor Shine Tom Chacko Arrested in Drug Case Scandal

Actor Shine Tom Chacko has been arrested by Kerala Police on allegations of drug use. Authorities confirmed that he will soon undergo a medical examination and interrogation. A case has been filed against him under multiple legal sections.

This arrest follows a drug raid conducted at a hotel, during which Shine Tom reportedly fled the premises. In connection with the incident, Kochi Police had issued a notice summoning the actor for questioning. When officers visited his house in Thrissur to deliver the notice, he was not present, so it was handed over to his family. The police instructed Shine to appear at the Ernakulam North Police Station. The notice specifically asked him to explain why he fled during the raid.

The original raid took place on Wednesday night around 10:45 PM. A special anti-drug squad was searching a suspect in a drug case at a hotel and discovered Shine Tom’s name listed in the hotel register. When they went to his room, he had already escaped. CCTV footage shows Shine fleeing as police entered the hotel.

Additionally, Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious had previously filed a complaint against Shine Tom, alleging inappropriate behavior under the influence of drugs during the shoot of their film “Sthuthiyayirikkatte.” The complaint was submitted to the Malayalam film artists’ association, AMMA. Following this, a committee was formed by AMMA to investigate the claims, and Shine was issued a notice seeking his explanation.
