‘Shekar’: Rajasekhar’s film locks release date

‘Shekar’, a cop thriller fronted by Dr. Rajashekar, has completed its post-production works. The news is that the film will hit the screens on May 20. 

Also starring Aathmeeya Rajan, Muskaan Kubchandhani of ‘George Reddy’ fame, comedian Abhinav Gomatam, Kannada Kishore, Sameer, Bharani, Ravi Varma, and Shravan Raghavendra, ‘Shekar’ is directed by Jeevitha Rajasekhar. Shivani Rajasekhar has a special role in the film. The film is bankrolled by Beeram Sudhakara Reddy, Shivani Rajashekar, Shivathmika Rajashekar, and Boggaram Venkata Srinivas. Anup Rubens, who has composed music for ‘Drushyam 2’, is on board.

So far, two songs from the movie are out. ‘Kinnera’, a romantic song, was released recently. “Anantha Sriram’s literary outlook finds a vivid expression in the song’s situation. And Anup Rubens resorts to a kind of tune that marshals the old-style musical charm,” our review of the Armaan Malik-rendered song said. ‘Love Gante’, sung by Vijay Prakash, Anup Rubens, Revanth, was released earlier. Its lyrics are by Chandrabose.
