Sensational actress joins Karthi’s ‘Sardar 2’ as the leading lady! – Official

Karthi’s highly anticipated sequel, Sardar 2, began filming on July 15 in Chennai, continuing the story from where the 2022 blockbuster Sardar left off. Produced by Prince Pictures, the film sees the return of PS Mithran as both writer and director, ensuring that the sequel stays true to the original’s vision while expanding its narrative.

Earlier, the creators brought in Nadippu Arakkan SJ Suryah as the powerful villain of this film. The excitement doesn’t stop there—today, it was revealed that Malavika Mohanan will be the leading lady of Sardar 2. Sharing the news on her social media, Malavika expressed her joy, calling it the perfect start to her birthday week. This project marks her first collaboration with Karthi.

The sequel also boasts a fresh musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who steps in as the composer, succeeding GV Prakash Kumar from the first film. Sardar 2 has visuals by acclaimed cinematographer George C. Williams, while the editing will be handled by Vijay Velukutty. Raajevan will lead the art direction, and the film’s action sequences will be choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan.
