Selvaraghavan is one of the few filmmakers in Tamil cinema who has a strong fanbase of his own. He is currently busy directing his brother Dhanush, Indhuja Ravichandran and Elle Avram in 'Naane Varuven' produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.

Selva has also made his acting debut in a lead role opposite Keerthy Suresh in Saani Kaayidham' directed by Arun Matheshwaran. Though the film is ready the release date is still not known. Meanwhile Selvaraghavan will be seen first as an actor in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast' directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures which is releasing on April 13th.

Selvaraghavan signed a new movie as the lead directed by Mohan G of 'Draupadi' and 'Rudhra Thandavam' fame. The controversial filmmaker has announced that actor Natty Natraj has joined the cast in an important role and that the shooting will begin by the end of this month. Fans are commenting that the Selva-Natty combo will be an exciting one.
