Actress Anupama Parameswaran has taken on the lead role in “Tillu Square,” the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster “DJ Tillu,” released in 2022. The film stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda as the female lead and is directed by Mallik Ram. The film is slated for a spectacular release on 29 March 2024.

When questioned about her decision to embrace such a departure from her usual roles, Anupama candidly shared her perspective. “I felt the need to break away from the conventional ‘girl next door’ roles,” she explained. “The opportunity to embody Lily’s character in ‘Tillu Square’ intrigued me instantly.”

Elaborating further, Anupama emphasized Lily’s pivotal role in the film’s narrative. “Lily is the heart and soul of ‘Tillu Square,'” she remarked. “It was an exhilarating challenge that I simply couldn’t resist. I didn’t want to pass up the chance to portray such a dynamic character. I’m confident that my fans will embrace the film, and I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Siddhu,” she added with enthusiasm.

The prequel to “Tillu Square,” “DJ Tillu,” achieved tremendous success, with its songs becoming chart-toppers and the film attaining a cult status among youth audiences. Anupama Parameswaran had initially turned down the opportunity to be part of the prequel.
