Taylor Swift's Party Snub? Scooter Braun's Playful Dig on Instagram

Rekindling his long-standing conflict with Taylor Swift, Scooter Braun poked fun at her most recent star-studded party. The former music manager posted a screen grab from TMZ on Instagram emphasizing the exclusive event of the pop diva at her $17 million Rhode Island mansion. Braun seemed to be interested in the event, which featured Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Travis Kelce, and other stars.
Braun uploaded an Instagram story on Tuesday attesting to his "finally watched" viewing of the Max documentary *Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun: Bad Blood*, which explores their infamous conflict over his purchase of her master recordings. Including a little humor, he followed up with a screenshot from TMZ's coverage of Swift's party and asked humorously, "How was I not invited to this?!?" He hashtagged #laughalittle to close the post.
The gathering was apparently celebrating Blake Lively's birthday, but it reminded me of the acrimony between Swift and Braun starting in June 2019. Swift has accused Braun of depriving her of her "life's work" following acquisition of her music catalog, including her 2006 debut album through 2017's *Reputation*.
Braun later told Variety he had tried several times to meet with Swift to work out their problems, but she turned down. Saying, "All of what happened has been very confusing and not based on anything factual," he said he felt sorry for the aftermath.
Swift finally admitted she decided not to purchase back her masters, which Braun ultimately sold for more than $300 million. She said to Vogue, "I chose the future; it was either investing in my past or my and other artists' future."
