Sathyaraj and Superstar Rajinikanth Rajinikanth come together for ‘Coolie’ after 38 years!

The much-anticipated film ‘Coolie,’ starring Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is currently in production, stirring excitement nationwide. The creators have been steadily revealing the star-studded cast, with actors from various film industries joining the project. Today, it was officially announced that veteran actor Sathyaraj will be part of the film’s ensemble.

As previously reported by Indiaglitz, Sathyaraj will play the role of Rajasekar, who is a friend of Rajinikanth’s character in ‘Coolie.’ This film marks a significant reunion for Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj, who last appeared together on screen 38 years ago. The duo has previously shared the screen in several memorable films, including ‘Thambikku Endha Ooru,’ ‘Moondru Mugam,’ ‘Paayum Puli,’ ‘Naan Sigappu Manidhan,’ and ‘Mr. Bharath.’

In addition to Sathyaraj, ‘Coolie’ features a diverse cast that includes Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, editing by Philomin Raj, art direction by Sathees Kumar, and action choreography by Anbariv. ‘Coolie’ is slated for a summer 2025 release, with more cast updates expected soon.
