Sasikumar’s MGR Magan gets a new festive release date!

Actor Sasikumar and Samuthirakani’s ‘MGR Magan’gets a new release date and the film is set to be a direct OTT release on Disney + Hotstar. The film was scheduled to be released on April 23 this year but was postponed due to the situation posed by the second wave of coronavirus.

MGR Magan is written and directed by popular filmmaker Ponram and bankrolled by the production house Screen Scene. The film stars Samuthirakani, Sathyaraj, Mrinalini Ravi, Singampuli, and Saranya Ponvannan in pivotal roles.The story of the film revolves around a father-son duo in a South Indian village.

The plot of the film features a man who tries to destroy a mountain in the village which disturbs the normal life of the villagers. The movie revolves on how the villagers unite to fight against the villain. Taking to their official social media handle the streaming giant confirmed the release news with a new poster.

Disney + Hotstar had initially planned to release Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal for Diwali but it looks like, there are a few issues to release the film for the Diwali weekend and hence, the OTT platform has now confirmed MGR Magan as Diwali treat for fans.
