Shantanu Bhagyaraj proved his screen presence and acting talent way back in 1998 as a child artiste when he dominated seniors such as dad Bhagyaraj, Saikumar, and Nagma. In his debut as hero in 'Sakkarakatti' his amazing dance moves to the fast number 'Taxi Taxi' from A.R. Rahman is still breathtaking. However after that the talented performer has not had a break that the deserves in Tamil cinema.
Shantanu however has a lot to look forward this year as he is playing a pivotal role alongside his idol Thalapathy Vijay in 'Master' that should release for Diwali. He also has an interesting lineup of films 'Kasdathapara' and 'Ravana Koottam'.
Meanwhile in his recent interaction actor director Sasikumar has made a promise to Shanthanu Bhagyaraj that the next time he gets behind the camera he will give a prominent role to him that would be a game changer for him. It may be recalled that Shantanu was the first choice for playing Jai's role in the cult classic 'Subramaniapuram' directed by Sasikumar. A judgement error on the part of Bhagyaraj regarding the script cost him the film.
Now Sasikumar has acquired the remake rights of Bhagyaraj's biggest hit in his career 'Mundanai Mudichi' and the film will go on floors soon.
