Director turned actor Sasikumar was last seen on screen playing Superstar Rajnikanth's friend in the action packed entertainer Petta released earlier this year, and is currently working on a number of movies like Kombu Vatcha Singamda and Kennedy Club.

Now it has been revealed that Sasikumar has been signed to play the lead role in a movie which will be produced by Sri Green Productions, one of the prominent production and distribution house of Kollywood. The production house had been earlier associated with movies like Aandavan Kattalai, Bairavaa.

It has been said that this movie will begin shooting from June, and details on the director and cast and crew will be announced soon. Meanwhile, Sasikumar has started dubbing for Suseenthiran's Kennedy Club, and has started shooting for an untitled movie by Nirmalkumar and has wrapped SR Prabhakaran's Kombu Vatcha Singamda.
