Famous choreographer Saroj Khan, who had been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on June 20 due to breathing issues passed away today. It has been said that the last rites of Saroj Khan will be performed today at Malvani in Malad, Mumbai.
Saroj Khan died due to a cardiac arrest in Guru Nanak Hospital where she was admitted on June 20 with breathing issues. Saroj Khan had choreographed more than 2,000 songs in her 40 years career. She is survived by three children Hamid Khan, Hina Khan and Sukanya Khan.
Saroj Khan has won the National award thrice for choreography and has been the talent behind blockbuster songs like ‘Dola Re Dol’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’, ‘Ek Do Teen’ from Madhuri Dixit-starrer ‘Tezaab’ and ‘Ye Ishq Haaye’ from ‘Jab We Met’, to name a few.
