Though Samantha had a successful professional year, her personal life went downhill. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya ended their four-year of happy marriage over irreconcilable differences. In a recent interview, she described 2021 in a single word.

In an interview with the Film Companion, Samantha was asked to describe the year, 2021. She said it was ‘rough’. The video also featured other actors like Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, Taapsee Pannu, Sidharth Malhotra and Adarsh Gourav.

Samantha became the talk of the town after her divorce and was accused of having an affair with her stylist Preetham which she shut down with a strong statement. She was since seen sharing motivational quotes on her Instagram page under the hashtag “Mymommysaid”

Samantha signed back to back projects after her split with Naga Chaitanya. She also agreed to do an item number in Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The rise’. Sam recently auditioned for her first international film with director Philip John of ‘Downtown Abbey’ fame and got selected to play the role of a Bisexual detective in the film ‘Arrangement of love’.
