Indian ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been out of action ever since India’s disheartening loss in the 2019 ICC world cup, and since then, there have been numerous reports on Dhoni’s retirement, with selectors and BCCI often facing questions on the same.
However, for the past few days there were news reports making rounds that Dhoni is set to announce retirement, and even though Dhoni didn’t make any official announcement, fans started to trend the hashtag #DhoniRetires, and started posting their favourite moments and memories with the legendary cricketer.
Trashing the random reports as mere rumours, Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi took it to Twitter and posted “Its only rumours! I understand Lockdown has made people mentally unstable! #DhoniRetires .. Get a life!”. However, after the tweet turned viral, Sakshi deleted her tweet as soon as it went viral on the micro-blogging site.
