Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted an event in which he discussed how to incorporate the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhiji on his 150th birth anniversary that is coming up. The reception held at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg was attended by Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan along with Rajkumar Hirani, Kangana Ranaut, Anand L Rai, Sonam Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Nigam and Ekta Kapoor. One of the countable celebrities from the South invited was legendary singer S.P. Balasubramanian.
SPB has shared on facebook "I am grateful to Ramoji Raoji, (Eenadu), because of whom I was able to attend a reception hosted by our Hon. Prime Minister at his home on the 29th of Oct. Upon entering the premises, we were asked to leave our cellphones with the security personnel and were given tokens for the same. But I was bewildered at the STARS taking selfies with the PM on that day. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM?????"
SPB was referring to the Bollywood actors and actresses who were enjoying selfies galore with the Prime Minister but apparently some of the invitees including the incomparable singer were asked to give up their phones by the security. Many celebrities in South India felt left out when they were not invited for the function and now this happening to a stalwart has created a huge controversy.
