Veteran actor Rahman has had a steady career over the past three decades portraying pivotal characters in hundreds of movies in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. He is married to Meherunnisa from 1993 and has two daughters. Meherunnisa is the elder sister of Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman’s wife Saira Banu.
Rahman’s elder daughter Rushda Rahman got married to Altaf Nawad and a grand reception was held in Chennai on 9th December. A.R. Rahman and his family were present throughout while Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin greeted the couple in person and gifted them green boquets.
Rahman apart from his other language films is currently starring in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and Vishal’s ‘Thupparivaalan 2’ in Tamil.
