Speaking at an event in Mumbai, SS Rajamouli has hinted that he didn’t expect mainstream film critics from the West to be bowled over by ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’. Even as we write about it, critics from the West are showering recognition on the Jr NTR-Ram Charan movie.
In this regard, a New York Times review is going viral among the fans of the movie. The critic has penned that Rajamouli has shot RRR’s action with hallucinogenic fervour, supercharging scenes with a shimmering brand of extended slow-motion and CGI that feels less “generated” than unleashed.
A review by Film School Rejects says that RRR’ is an action spectacle that will have you alternating between jaw-drops, big smiles, and tears of joy.
In another welcoming review, Fran Simeoni wrote, “RRR is a delirious, dizzying spectacle that had me grinning, emotional, on the edge of seat. Hollywood hasn’t done an epic like this in decades. I encourage anyone who hasn’t to take the plunge.”
There is this talk that Rajamouli is capturing the imagination of Hollywoodians.
