Ritu Varma in talks for an anthology movie

Ritu Varma today interacted with the media ahead of the Amazon Prime Video release (on the night of September 9) of her movie, ‘Tuck Jagadish’. In the interview, the ‘Pelli Choopulu’ actress revealed that she is in talks for an anthology commissioned by a streaming giant. 

“I am still in talks. I can’t talk about it right now beyond this,” the ‘Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante’ star said. 

In ‘Tuck Jagadish’, her character’s name is Gummadi Varalakshmi. “She is a government officer with assertive body language. At the same time, she is traditional in her mindset,” Ritu added. 

Come October, she will have a theatrical release in the form of Naga Shaurya’s ‘Varudu Kavalenu’, in which she has done a special song titled ‘Digu Digu Naga’ besides playing the female lead. Later this year, Sharwanand’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual ‘Oke Oka Jeevitham’ will be released and it has the ‘Ninnila Ninnila’ damsel in an interesting role. The ‘Dhruva Natchatiram’ actress is also doing a Tamil movie.
