In an unexpected development, the bail pleas of Showik Chakraborty, Rhea Chakraborty, Abdul Basit Parihar, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have been rejected by a special court in Mumbai today.
Earlier this week, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty were taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau which is currently investigating the allegations of drug abuse in connection to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
Rhea Chakraborty had filed for a bail application on September 9 before the Sessions Court in Mumbai claiming that she was wrongly charged in the case. Rhea’s application also had mentions of her being coerced by NCB to make confessions on September 6, 7 and 8, and that she was interrogated by male officers and no lady officer had questioned her.
