Actress Rani Chatterjee, who last appeared in the Indian stunt reality television series Khatron Ke Khiladi, has posted on social media that she is extremely depressed and may take her own life after facing relentless harassment from a man online.
In a long post on Instagram, Rani has mentioned that the man, identified as Dhananjai Singh, has been harassing and body shaming her for a long time, calling her 'fat' and several other vulgar words. "I am disturbed. Though I keep promoting a positive attitude towards life, I cannot handle it anymore. This man has been writing such vulgar things about me on Facebook for years, and I have been ignoring it all. He body shames me and calls me names. People have advised me to ignore it. But I cannot ignore it now. I am disappointed. I have no more strength to deal with it. I have been battling with depression and want to die by suicide," the actress reportedly wrote on an Instagram post, adding screenshots of some of the comments made by the man.
The actress tagged the Mumbai police on her post and mentioned that if she were to take a drastic step, Dhananjai Singh should be held accountable for it. She further added that he never really used her name in any of his abusive posts on Facebook, hence no action can be taken against him even though she has filed a complaint against him with the cyber cell.
