C Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies on Thursday announced a sequel to the 1990s socio-fantasy ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’. The producer has responded to the rumour that Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor (late Sridevi’s daughter) are going to be its lead pair.
“It would be wonderful if it can happen,” Dutt tells The Hindu.
To be sure, nothing has been finalized as to who will fill the shoes of the unmatchable Chiranjeevi-Sridevi, who played a tourist guide and a celestial being, respectively, in ‘JVAS’.
The film, directed by K Raghavendra Rao, had unforgettable tracks by Maestro Ilaiyarajaa. It will turn 30 this Saturday.
