Rakul defends smoking in ‘Manmadhudu-2’

Rakul Preet Singh has come in for predictable moralistic trolling ever since her character’s ‘Manmadhudu-2’ teaser was out.  As Avanthika, Rakul smokes and goes bold in the teaser.  Trolls have had it that she is promoting smoking through the film.

Saying that Avanthika is not a generalized representation, Rakul Preet suggests that the character’s behaviour is contextual.  She urges everyone to separate fiction and real life.

Starring Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead, ‘Manmadhudu-2’ has been directed by actor and ‘Chi La Sow’ director Rahul Ravindran.  Samantha Akkineni and Keerthy Suresh have guest roles in the movie, while Vennela Kishore and Rao Ramesh have key roles.

The comedy entertainer will release on August 9.
