Shankar rejected Rajinikanth's first choice for '2.0' villain

Supreme Star Sarathkumar recently announced that he could not act in more films in the recent years as his focus was more on politics but now he has decided to accept more acting offers.
Today he attended the launch Pooja of Sri Green Proudction's new venture 'Adangathey' which will have G.V.Prakash Kumar and Surabhi in lead roles. Sarath will be playing a pivotal character role in this film.
When he met the Press persons recently, he also revealed that he was initial choice of the Superstar to play the lead villain in his mega budget sci-fi flick '2.0'.
"Rajinikanth sir called me and asked whether I would be interested to interested to play the antagonist in '2.0'. While I was happy to accept the offer, director Shankar said he is looking for a Hollywood or Bollywood actor for the role, given the International appeal of the film and said we would work together in future".
It is a known story that Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger was initially approached to play the lead villain character and he was also interested to make his Kollywood debut through this film but things did not fall in place. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is now acting in the role.
