Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' directed by Nelson was released on the August 10th. The film which had crucial cameo roles by Mohan Lal, Shivarajkumar and Tamannaah went on to make record breaking collections at the box office. There were unofficial reports that claimed from time to time that the dark comedy actioner had grossed over rupees five hudnred crores few days after its release.

Now finally Sun Pictures the producer of the film has made it official that 'Jailer' has indeed grossed rupees five hundred and twenty five crores after just two weeks run at the box office and still going steady.

'Jailer' has music by Anirudh and stars Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Redin Kinglsey, Mirnaa and Vinayakan.
