The anti- Sterlite protests in Tuticorin has become a news of shock and disappointment to the state’s people as 9 lives have been lost as of now in addition to many being injured severely. Political leaders and parties have been voicing against the way the police handled the situation- opening of fire.
Rajinikanth who will begin his political party shortly has expressed his angst against the issue as well. Expressing his condolences to the lost lives, he also pointed the reason as to be government’s lackadaisical nature. “The TN government is the one responsible for the violence and the loss of lives,” he stated.
