With the truth coming out from the horse's mouth, none is in doubt about the enormity of Kabali's success.
Speaking at a success meet held yesterday, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu himself confirmed that the film has collected Rs. 320 crores overall in just six days of release (July 22-27). This means that Kabali is the first direct Tamil film to touch the Rs. 300 crore mark, that too in its first week itself. Just goes to show Rajini's super-stardom.
At the success meet, director Pa.Ranjith thanked Rajini for letting the makers stick to their guns. "When sir was in the US, we called him up to ask if he wanted the climax to be changed. He said that let it be," Ranjith said. It goes to show Rajini's maturity that he let a character (Tiger) shoot him in the end.
